Atmospheric music in style Panopticon, but more atmosphere, melancholy and post-rock.I will wait when it comes out on CD, add it to my collection. Favorite track: Когда ночь скрывается, уступая дню.

Visual Complexity I'm surprised I didn't have this in my collection as soon as possible, because I've been a fan of this album since it first was released. This record means a lot to me, because I was getting into atmospheric black metal when this came out, so this really helped me into this perfect sub-genre. One of the best ABM gems you'll ever find! Favorite track: Кровь холодных степей.

Reese The comparisons to Panopticon are bang-on. The way Октябрь approaches melody is very reminiscent of Austin Lunn’s Autumn Eternal-era work. The drumming also reminds me of Panopticon. Октябрь has perfectly imitated Lunn’s distinctive “tumbling” style, and the drum sound is a dead wringer for Panopticon. Still, the tasteful use of synths and very faint hints of post-black influence allows plenty of the band’s own personality to shine through, elevating the album beyond mere imitation. This is a must-hear release for not only fans of Panopticon, but fans of good atmospheric black metal.

cvltcorgi888 This is a solid release with lots to love here -- aggressive and expansive atmospheric black metal interspersed with measures of intimate and ethereal ambiance.

October manages to strike a lovely balance between pummeling and peaceful. Favorite track: Воля в вечности.

West Maddox I like to call this the Russian Panopticon. Fantastic atmosphere. This definitely needs more attention, very underrated. Favorite track: Кровь холодных степей.

La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine.
